How to Play
SPARK is a conversation game for 3–8 people. There is no winner and no score — the group tends one good conversation together, and the app deals the sparks.
Each round
- The app deals a Spark. One player reads it aloud.
- The reader chooses a match — one of four ways to respond.
- If a Flying Spark appears, follow its ripple — it sends the prompt traveling between people.
- When the moment settles, tap Next Spark.
- The session closes with an Afterglow reflection.
The four matches
Every prompt can be answered four ways. All four count.
Add Kindling
Answer directly and honestly.
Pass the Spark
Invite someone else to answer first.
Reflect the Flame
Answer through a story, memory, image, or metaphor.
Tend the Fire Within
Pass without explanation. Listening is part of tending.
Flying Sparks
Some cards carry a Flying Spark — a small twist that makes the question travel: someone answers first, two people answer together, a question gets traded. They are rare on purpose. When one lands, let it.
Pick your fire
Quick Spark ~20 min
Seven sparks. Light, fast, perfect before dinner arrives.
Gathering Mode ~45 min
Eleven sparks. The full arc — playful start, a real middle.
Deep Fire ~75 min
Fourteen sparks. For a table that wants to stay a while.
How it ends
The last card is always a closing one. Notice what was created between you — that's the whole game. Some conversations continue beyond the table.
